Florida Coastal School of Law is fully accredited by the American Bar Association.
In addition to its curriculum for a Juris Doctor, Coastal offers several certification programs in specialized areas of the law. Coastal currently offers an environmental law certificate, sports law certificate, international comparative law certificate, family law certificate, and an advanced legal research and writing certificate.Coastal also has an internship and externship clinical program. The Davis College of Business at Jacksonville University and Florida Coastal School of Law recently created a joint degree program through which qualified individuals may enroll in the Coastal Law J.D. and the Davis MBA programs simultaneously. By allowing a number of courses to satisfy requirements in both programs at the same time, the time required to earn both degrees is shortened. No application deadline exists. However, Florida Coastal School of Law typically begins to review applications in the year preceding the term for which enrollment is sought.
In addition to the academic experiences and perspectives in the classroom, the abundance of social events, journals, and student organizations provide Coastal Law students with a wealth of opportunities for personal and professional development, including the chance to network with attorneys and experts, plan and attend seminars and workshops, and volunteer through pro bono legal and non-legal work throughout the community.
